Record year for Indra. The state-owned company achieved its best historical contracting, backlog and revenue figures in 2022. Its two divisions significantly increased their results, but especially significant is the growth of its Transportation and Defense area, which is growing mainly due to the increase in investment in military matters by the Government.

Indra’s order book stood at 6,309 million euros last year, which represents a growth of 16% in relation to 2021. The aforementioned transport and defense division represented a total of 4,587 million, highlighting in this sense the area military, with a total amount of projects of 2,953 million.

In terms of revenue, Indra exceeded 3,850 million thanks to hiring promoted by the aforementioned transport and defense division, which grew by 52%. In this regard, some iconic contracts for the company stand out, such as the signing of phase 1B of the FCAS project, the future European combat aircraft, or the modernization of the air surveillance radar network of DFS, the air navigation service provider German.

Minsait, Indra’s technology division, for its part, closed 2022 with an 8% increase in its portfolio to reach 1,722 million. Hiring also grew by 16%, waiting for a year in Spain with two big appointments at the polls scheduled. This area continues to be the most important for the company, with more than 2,517 million in revenue during the past year.

Indra’s net result amounted to 172 million in 2022, which represents an increase of 20% compared to the previous year. The company’s net debt fell significantly, to 43 million euros, compared to the 240 with which it closed 2021.

Regarding the workforce, Indra closed 2022 with 56,735 employees, which meant an increase of 4,651 workers. In America there were 2,616 contracts and in Spain, 1,902.

In a meeting held this Tuesday, Indra’s board of directors agreed to propose to the next general meeting of shareholders the distribution of a cash dividend of 0.25 euros gross per share, charged to the profits of the financial year 2022, to be paid the next 12th of July.
