Illenium Says He’ll Replace AI Poster Art After Image Is Roasted Online
Dance headliner Illenium has responded to fans’ criticism of the artwork for his upcoming four-night run at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. The poster, featuring a man on the Golden Gate Bridge, was suspected to be designed using artificial intelligence.
On Monday, Illenium announced the dates for his San Francisco shows, scheduled for July 19-20 and 26-27. Fans took to Twitter to roast the poster, suggesting that the use of AI for the design was not well-received. The dance star acknowledged the use of AI in a post on X, blaming his management for the decision and promising to replace the artwork with a new design.
Fans expressed disappointment in Illenium’s response, with some criticizing him for not taking responsibility for the artwork choice. Fellow artist John Summit also chimed in, highlighting the role of management in decisions regarding show posters.
The artist presale for all four shows is set to open on Wednesday, June 5. Fans can stay updated on ticket information by signing up for weekly rundowns.
