Gerard Piqué and Clara Chía arrived in Madrid last Friday, April 19, to prepare for the Kings and Queens League finals, which will be held this Saturday, February 20 at the WiZink Center. The couple, however, was involved in an incident with the three journalists who were waiting for them upon their arrival at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport.

The couple showed a distant and serious attitude in front of the cameras. Thus, they did not give any type of statement when asked by the press. Clara Chía, who was celebrating her 25th birthday, and the former soccer player were surrounded by up to eight agents who prevented any interaction with reporters.

This security team showed unusual aggressiveness towards journalists, an incident that was recorded by the media. One of them even threatened a cameraman: “I’m going to give you hell.” Another was also upset: “Get out of here!”

This incident has generated criticism of AENA’s security management. In this sense, the use of public resources for this purpose has been questioned. The situation has drawn special attention given that this type of incident is not common at the Madrid airport, where coverage of events requires specific permits from AENA itself.

The final of the two tournaments will be broadcast live on Saturday, April 20, starting at 2:30 p.m., through official channels on Twitch and YouTube. Additionally, coverage is expected to be available on other official platforms such as TikTok or X for those who cannot attend in person.
