We are hypnotized by the phenomena that fascinate us, that amaze us. And, at dawn in Fuengirola, the magic multiplies next to the Mediterranean Sea when the solar pillar is produced, as this series of photographs demonstrates in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.
A light pillar is an atmospheric optical phenomenon in which a vertical beam of light appears to extend above and/or below a light source.
The effect is created by the reflection of light from small ice crystals that are suspended in the atmosphere or comprise high-altitude clouds (for example, cirrostratus or cirrus clouds).
It dawned with some haze, calm seas and no winds from the Fuengirola T breakwater, when the people who were watching the sky decided to play with the solar pillar.
There are those who want to hold it in their hand, those who simply want to immortalize the moment with their mobile cameras, or those who integrate it into their morning physical exercises.
