The Local Police of Seville have arrested and initiated proceedings against a driver who this morning hit a taxi while driving with four times the level of alcohol and with a beer in his hand, on José María Javierre Street.
The events, as reported by Emergencies Seville, occurred at 6:30 a.m. The 29-year-old driver has several previous convictions for similar incidents and recently had his driving license suspended.
The taxi driver and the person responsible for the accident were unharmed, and the agents initiated proceedings for a crime against road safety.
Since the Christmas Plan began, the Seville Local Police has carried out almost 1,700 alcohol tests with 40 positive in preventive controls.
