The new Ministers of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Héctor Gómez, and of Health, José Manuel Miñones, have promised the position this Tuesday in an act at the Palacio de la Zarzuela before King Felipe VI, hours before participating this morning in his first meeting of the Council of Ministers.

The act of promise of the position has been carried out in the Palacio de la Zarzuela in an act that has been presided over by the King and which has also been attended, among others, by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.

Both Gómez and Miñones have promised the post, pointing out that they do it for their conscience and honor, to faithfully fulfill their obligations as ministers, with loyalty to the King and with the Constitution as a fundamental rule of the State, as well as promising to keep the deliberations secret. of the Council of Ministers.

This was followed by the inauguration of Miñones at the Ministry of Health and later, at 10:30 a.m., Gómez will do the same at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

Finally, both will be able to participate in their first meeting of the Council of Ministers in La Moncloa. This body usually meets on Tuesdays first thing in the morning, but in this case the call has been delayed until 11:30 a.m. to accommodate the previous acts and so that the new ministers can carry out their duties.

Yesterday Sánchez announced the appointment of Gómez and Miñones to replace Reyes Maroto and Carolina Darias, who are leaving the Government to compete for the mayoralties of Madrid and Las Palmas, respectively, in the municipal elections on May 28.
