Gavi, from Barça youth, signed for Barcelona. In the LaLiga transfer section, the 18-year-old Andalusian interior already appears as one of the operations on the last day of the market. The player will already be able to wear the number six this Wednesday that officially accredits him as a member of the Blaugrana first team. LaLiga thus complies with the mandate of the ruling of the Barcelona commercial court number 12, which this morning forced it to register the footballer’s new contract, as reported by La Vanguardia.

Gavi’s renewal was signed on September 15, once the footballer reached the age of majority. The contract was extended until 2026 and the termination clause rose to 1,000 million. However, Barcelona had not been able to register him.

LaLiga refused despite the fact that Barcelona had saved the chips from Piqué and Memphis and had entered three million for the Dutchman. The entity understood that it met the financial fair play requirements and the Barcelona legal services went to the courts on Friday, January 27.

The judge granted the precautionary measure to Barça considering that the damage could be very serious and irreparable for the club. LaLiga has stated shortly after its “ignorance of the content of the main lawsuit” and denounced that the precautionary measure had been adopted without having had the opportunity to present his arguments.

“LaLiga, as it cannot be otherwise, will abide by the precautionary resolution and announces that it will oppose said measure, considering that there are sufficient factual and legal reasons for the Court to agree to its lifting, as will be proven in court in the opportune moment,” he said in a statement.

Xavi, at a press conference, congratulated himself on the news and recognized that this registration was one of the objectives of the club in this winter transfer window. “It is a priority to secure these important players like Gavi”, he explained.

Now the objective that Barcelona sets is to also register the new contracts of Ronald Araújo and Marcos Alonso.
