From Zendaya's slip dress to Elsa Pataky's 'No Pants': the looks from the pre-Met Gala

In just a few hours, the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York will host one of the most spectacular red carpets of the year: the Met Gala. The emblematic space will host the fashion exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion this year and celebrities must follow the dress code The Garden of Time.

Rosalía, Penélope Cruz, Kendall Jenner and Rihanna will be some of the celebrities who will parade down the stairs with their impressive outfits. The hosts of the night will also walk the red carpet: Zendaya, Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Hemsworth.

These celebrities did not miss the dinner organized this Sunday night by Anna Wintour, who has been in charge of the gala since 1995. A meeting where they talked about the role that the protagonists will have on Monday night and which was marked by spectacular looks.

Zendaya, accompanied by her stylist Law Roach, shone in a vintage dress from John Galliano’s Haute Bohemia collection, from 1998. A beautiful slip dress that followed the Coquette trend, with a bow at the neckline and with butterflies and flowers embroidered on the tulle that left her back exposed.

The protagonist of Challengers completed her look with white pumps with very high heels, her hair combed with a lot of volume and waves, and makeup in pink tones.

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky caused a sensation with their looks featuring animal prints. The actor wore a leopard-print velvet jacket, satin shirt and striking aviator-style sunglasses with orange lenses, while the actress joined the controversial No Pants fashion with a very suggestive outfit.

Pataky wore a purple blazer with shiny snake-print fabric, a lavender satin shirt and micro shorts, matching the jacket, with which she showed off her toned and tanned legs. She finished off the disco-inspired look with high-heeled sandals and a highly polished ponytail that showed off her hoop earrings.

Jennifer Lopez opted for elegant velvet with a design by Diana Qerimi that stood out for its original neckline and for its stones embedded throughout the entire dress that provided a shiny touch. The protagonist of Marry Me also chose to gather her hair in a ponytail to show off some spectacular jewelry.

Another celebrity who didn’t miss the dinner at Wintour’s apartment was Sienna Miller, who came with her boyfriend Oli Green. The New York actress wore a bottle green minidress with an XXL white bow on her shoulder and matching her shoes.
