Freedom for the Reus psychologist accused of abusing his patients

The Reus guard court (Tarragona) has released the 55-year-old psychologist detained after being jointly accused by six women of having sexually abused them while they were undergoing psychological treatment, although it has issued a restraining order regarding the complainants.

The man was arrested at 12:25 yesterday in Reus after six young women who were patients of the detainee filed a joint complaint for having suffered sexual abuse for years taking advantage of their situation of psychological vulnerability and after manipulating them to maintain relationships.

Sources from the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) have reported that the detainee has been handed over today to the Investigative Court number 3 of Reus, on guard duty, which has left the case open for sexual assault and has agreed to release him. psychologist with a restraining order and incommunicado confinement regarding the six women.

It has also agreed to transfer the case to the College of Psychologists of Catalonia “so that it can adopt, where appropriate, the measures that may correspond to professional practice” and to leave the case open for sexual assault.
