The National Police have arrested four men as alleged perpetrators of robberies in five hotels, three gambling halls and two gas stations in the Community of Madrid during this year in which they managed to steal more than 15,000 euros in cash.

Two of them carried out the robberies by hiding their faces and threatening their victims, even minors, with firearms and bladed weapons, which they did not hesitate to use if their requests were not granted, reports the Madrid Police Headquarters.

The other two arrested took turns waiting outside as drivers of vehicles to quickly flee.

The investigation began at the end of last January when the agents learned of several robberies committed in hotel establishments, gambling halls and gas stations in Madrid, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Móstoles, Getafe, Coslada and Alcorcón.

The agents verified that the way of acting of the robbers was very similar in all the denounced facts.

Two armed men entered the premises threatening employees and customers and even minors and young people who were in the establishments.

They adopted numerous security measures and while they committed the robberies one of the detainees waited outside with rental vehicles that changed frequently and contracted in the name of other people to hinder any police investigation.

The Police established a device to locate the robbers and managed to arrest them this week, although the investigation remains open and the clarification of more facts is not ruled out.
