The Miami Marlins, in collaboration with the Miami Marlins Foundation and Florida Blue, have once again come together to make a difference in their community. This time, they have launched a co-branded Farm Share program aimed at distributing food across Florida.

The Farm Share program utilizes a 53-foot mobile cooler to transport fresh produce and perishable food items. Each month, an average of 415,000 pounds of food is delivered to help those facing food insecurity in South Florida and beyond. The initiative kicked off with a drive-through food distribution event at Loan-Depot Park at Center Field Garage in Miami.

While baseball games are a source of entertainment and joy for many, the Miami Marlins understand the importance of giving back to the community. David Oxfeld, the Chief Commercial Officer of the Miami Marlins, emphasized the organization’s commitment to serving those in need. He stated, “We host 81 baseball games as a community entity, but making sure that we get into the community to take care of those in need is one of the most important things to the Miami Marlins organization.”

In line with their efforts to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, the Marlins and their partners provided essentials such as milk, chicken, and bread to 1,000 families in the local neighborhood. The goal is to distribute five million meals across the state within the next year.

This collaboration between the Miami Marlins, Miami Marlins Foundation, and Florida Blue showcases the power of partnership in addressing food insecurity and supporting communities in need. By working together, these organizations are able to make a significant impact and provide essential resources to those who need it most.
