The firefighters consider the Mont-roig del Camp forest fire that started this Tuesday to be extinguished, when they received the notice at 9:54 a.m. The agents worked throughout the day and at two in the morning from Tuesday to Wednesday they considered it extinct and withdrew from the area.
Due to the fire, the confinement of two urbanizations, Miami Platja and Costa Zafir, close to the affected area, was ordered for a few hours.
The Forest Agents work with the main hypothesis of an electrical failure of a tractor as the cause of the fire, which according to provisional data from the Rural Agents would have affected some 12.8 hectares.
