A total of seven aerial means are working to extinguish a vegetation fire due to an “uncontrolled burning” recorded this Sunday in the municipality of Fanzara, in the province of Castellón.
As reported by the Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Castellón and the 112CV Emergency service, the fire started around 12:00 p.m., when the notice of “an uncontrolled burning” was received in the area of ??La Lleuja, in Fanzara (Castellón). , next to the Mijares river.
Two aerial vehicles, two forest fire units from the Generalitat, two fire engines and a crew from the Castellón Fire Consortium, as well as an environmental agent and zone coordinator, were initially moved to the scene of the events.
At around 1:00 p.m. and due to the evolution of the flames, two other aerial means have been mobilized, and the Emergency Coordination Center has established situation 1 of the Special Forest Fire Plan (PEIF) due to its proximity to non-forest assets.
At 2:00 p.m. there were seven total aerial vehicles working in the area, according to sources.
