Núñez Feijóo thanked for having felt “with his hands free” when drawing up the lists, about which he has spoken with all the regional presidents, without spending a minute on “cabalas, puzzles or exchanges to please one or the other”.
Some lists, he said, in which “none of them is the result of a last-minute snip, but rather a reflection of the unity, seriousness and project that the PP has, while in those of the others the harshness of the division has been seen” “, with “candidates in which those who are only looking for a chair are bunkerized”, parties “that do not go out to lose”, and for that reason they only have to find a position on the list, which has given rise, he stressed, ” to purges, vetoes, revenge, ego fights, dog-faced negotiations and the massive failure of all the parties that make up the Government”.
Although he did not mention Nacho Martín Blanco, number one for Barcelona, ??the president of the PP alluded to his signing, dedicating a special greeting “to those who join from other militancy”, and warned everyone that being head of the PP list means a great responsibility, because it means “being the representative of the party that has served Spain the most and best” and represents “a recognizable management model”.
They all constitute, he warned them, candidacies that come out to win, and for this reason, he said, “we have sought out the best for this moment and this responsibility”, who must be up to the task of “an extraordinary country” that they are going to represent. , and that it needs “a government at its level” and the PP is willing to give it to it, “there are 40 days left”, he said, the time that remains to “begin to build a better Spain among all”. The PP is for that, for “respond to the desires of a majority of citizens who demand a new stage, that of reuniting those who ask for a change, deserve and need a better policy and government”.
For Feijóo, the 52 heads of the list with which the PP will go to the elections are only “the frontispiece of a project” behind which there are some solid pillars, based on values ??such as talent, diversity, training, experience , management, ideas, values ??and commitment to public service “.
But with their appointment as candidates the task does not end, Feijóo explained to them, but now they have to do their homework: “Work more than anyone else, speak, listen, propose and present the best project for the country.” He asked the candidates to “take to the streets, that we can; fill the rallies, that we can”, to explain the PP project, “the best for Spain” and to ask for “the confidence of the people” that talk “with your neighbors” and tell them the truth, “because they have already been lying for five long years.”
He invites them to do that because “there is a Spain that is tired, aware of what is happening, concerned about the economic, social and institutional direction” of Spain, but “excited to open a new direction”.
