A tragic incident occurred in Mira Mesa on Saturday when a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle, as reported by the San Diego Police Department. The accident took place around 2 a.m. when a 29-year-old man was driving a 2023 Tesla westbound on Mira Mesa Boulevard.
The pedestrian, also a 29-year-old man, was crossing Mira Mesa Boulevard at the intersection with Westmore Road against a red light when he was hit by the Tesla. Unfortunately, he did not survive the impact and was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital. At this time, the identity of the pedestrian has not been disclosed.
