Warm Love Cool Dreams Festival is a new music festival that draws inspiration from a line in Nelson Algren’s novel, The Man With the Golden Arm. The festival aims to provide a day of warm, fierce music followed by a day of cool and dreamy sounds. The festival made headlines with the announcement that the Jesus Lizard, a beloved wet-and-wild noise-rock band, would be headlining on Saturday. The Jesus Lizard, formed in Texas in 1987, reunited in 2017 and recently released a new album called Rack. This will be their first local appearance since 2018.

In addition to the Jesus Lizard, Saturday’s lineup includes Sextile, King Woman, and Aitis Band. Sunday’s lineup features the soulful R&B and electronica sounds of Kelela, Jamaican dancehall DJ Sister Nancy, London-based producer Lolina, and British-Barbadian jazz composer Shabaka. The festival aims to showcase a diverse range of artists and sounds, encouraging attendees to discover new music and expand their musical horizons.

The Warm Love Cool Dreams Festival will take place on September 28th and 29th at the Salt Shed outdoors. Tickets are available for single-day passes, two-day passes, as well as premium pass options. The festival promises to be a well-curated event that celebrates diversity in music programming, offering something for everyone to enjoy.

In addition to the Warm Love Cool Dreams Festival, there are other upcoming shows that music fans should have on their radar. Stay tuned for more exciting concerts and events in the local music scene.
