The Teaching Federation of the UGT-PV union numbers 400 complaints received through OVIDOC, the Virtual Teaching Office used by active staff who have once held a position in a public center in the Valencian Community.
The figure is confirmed by the Ministry of Education, which qualifies that although there are a hundred more claims than the previous year, it must also be taken into account that in the current process there has been a change from technical personnel (PT) to Secondary personnel (PS ), a body made up of 1,072 people.
As for vocational training teachers, the union asks that they be ordered correctly according to their position on the stock market. That is why the UGT-PV requires the review of incidents “on a case-by-case basis, of the allocation of PT teachers that go to PS, after verifying that their ordering is not correct.”
The claims are being managed individually and their resolution is expected as soon as possible, as it is worth remembering that it is Friday, September 1, when teachers have to return to their jobs. For its part, UGT-PV assures that they are specific errors of an individual nature that “require a more detailed analysis for their correct correction.”
At last week’s press conference, the Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, José Antonio Rovira, explained that in 2022 there were 281 claims in the process of awarding places, being an ordinary process. “This year we have had an extraordinary process as there were new processes, such as the change of body from PT to PS that was not recognized by the system (which encompasses 1,072 people) and we have 400 counted in the entire global process, so which is similar to last year.”
