A few months ago, Diego Matamoros revealed that he suffers from degenerative spondylolisthesis, a chronic and congenital disease with no known cure, which causes him a lot of pain and has disabled him on several occasions, preventing him from leading a normal life. Kiko Matamoros’s son has tried different treatments to alleviate pain since he learned of his diagnosis, but he has continued to suffer various relapses over time.
Spondylolisthesis is the displacement of one vertebra over another, which can cause very serious situations, since the bone can trap the marrow or nerves. Matamoros has had back problems for many years, especially the lower back, which has prevented him from standing or walking. His case is also somewhat more serious, as he also suffers from degeneration of the tissues that stabilize the vertebrae. However, he remains positive, and he wanted to let his followers know this with a deep reflection through his Instagram profile.
The influencer wanted to send a message of encouragement to all those who may find themselves in the same situation, urging them not to give up and emphasizing those moments when their spirits are lower, so that they take the opportunity to reflect on things good things that are actually happening to them.
In a video, in which he is seen training, enjoying his life, but also his bad moments in the hospital; the influencer insists that you should not give up.
“When the stones of the path of your life drag you down, do not go down with them. From the sticks you learn, from the noes in the face one is nourished to change and improve, but above all what one needs is to know say that no one stops you and that any adversity is there to be passed over,” says the son of Kiko Matamoros.
“I would lie to you if I tell you that it has been easy, my family, my partner and my friends have eaten my bad moments, but in the end the people who are there are the ones who love you and understand you,” he confesses, remembering his parents, his brothers, his friends and his girlfriend, the model Marta Riumbau. However, it is a journey that you have to take yourself. “Only you are capable of getting out of the well that life wants to put you in, only you need yourself to realize that the stones in that backpack are emptied with effort and time,” she ends.
At the beginning of the year, Diego Matamoros successfully underwent an alternative treatment to temporarily calm the nerves that cause him pain, with which he experienced a great improvement. However, the euphoria barely lasted, because last May, he suffered a new relapse in which he felt his hip and part of the lumbar vertebrae “locked”, which left him bedridden again. .
Matamoros then underwent a surgical intervention, which seems to have had an effect, at least up to now, since since then no other relapse has been known and perhaps, finally, Diego Matamoros has been able to take a new step to Improve your quality of life.
