Deductions for dentists, glasses, mental health and sports, news from the Valencian Treasury

“The fair thing is to pay the fair thing” is the slogan of the campaign that the Generalitat Valenciana has launched with a regional deduction plan that introduces some significant new features that are summarized in compensation for taxpayers who do not exceed certain income in expenses such as the dentist. , eye doctor, mental health, rare diseases or sports practice.

As explained by President Carlos Mazón, they will be “cumulative” deductions, which will allow 87% of Valencians (those who do not earn 32,000 euros individually or 48,000 euros in the case of a couple) to receive compensation for expenses as common as purchasing glasses or the gym fee, which public health does not cover.

At the campaign presentation event, President Mazón stated that both from the expenses section and from the income section “social policy can be made: from the expenses section we have presented the most important health budget in the history of the Comunitat Valenciana, an unprecedented budgetary effort; and at the same time we are launching these social incentives that are being implemented for the first time.”

“We are not going to collect less, but we are going to collect better,” said the head of the Consell, for whom 2.1 million citizens will be able to benefit from these measures. “All these deductions are cumulative with each other”, so that expenses in the same family for a dentist, mental health illnesses, an eye doctor, sports activity, etc. will not be exclusive when requesting the corresponding compensation.
