The General Directorate for Environmental Quality of the Generalitat has deactivated this Friday the preventive notice of air pollution in the Barcelona conurbation by reducing the levels of PM10 particles suspended in the air from the Sahara.
According to the General Directorate for Environmental Quality and Climate Change, which activated the preventive notice this Thursday in the 40 municipalities of the Barcelona area due to the increase in particles, PM10 levels are decreasing in all stations of the Surveillance and Forecast Network of Atmospheric Pollution (XVPCA) and the daily limit value of 50 µg/m³ is no longer exceeded in any season.
In addition, the forecast of the dispersion models of atmospheric pollutants indicates that PM10 levels will no longer exceed the daily limit value of 50 µg/m³ this Friday and the weather forecast shows that the intrusion of African dust will withdraw in the next few hours.
