“Water is our world, and our sustainable solutions are best for you and the planet” is one of Culligan’s mottos. The company, which has been a world leader in drinking water for more than 85 years and growing, has a global distribution network that reaches 90 countries, six million homes and more than two million offices, hotels and restaurants, serving more than 150 million customers each year.

As it could not be otherwise, the multinational is especially sensitive to the current severe drought episode. For this reason, it has just announced the launch of a humanitarian project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable communities in Spain, which consists of donating more than 100,000 liters of mineral water in 20-liter reusable bottles, to help older people and those in danger of social exclusion in the most affected areas. This initiative is included within the company’s social commitment since its founding in 1936, and arises in response to the urgent need to ensure access to the most vital resource in critical moments of scarcity.

“At Culligan, we firmly believe in the power of solidarity and in our corporate responsibility to contribute to the well-being of the communities in which we operate,” says Héctor Valera, CEO of the multinational. With this project, he points out, “we not only want to alleviate the immediate difficulties caused by the lack of water, but also raise awareness about the importance of sustainable resource management and responsible use of water.”

The Water for All solidarity campaign will start on April 1 and will extend during the most critical months of the drought. It will be led by a group of Culligan corporate volunteers and will be developed in collaboration with local entities, social services and non-governmental organizations to identify beneficiaries and ensure that aid arrives efficiently and effectively.

In addition to water distribution, Culligan is committed to implementing educational programs focused on responsible water consumption practices, seeking not only to provide an immediate response to pressing needs, but also to generate a positive long-term impact. From the multinational, they invite other companies and society in general to join this cause, collaborating in the dissemination of the initiative or through direct contribution to the project.

“This World Water Day, let us call for collective action. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many people, ensuring their right to access to clean and safe water,” they point out. The project “seeks to extend our values, transforming water consumption habits, to positively impact people’s daily lives and the health of the planet.”
