The vote on the law of the Parliament of Catalonia on ATMs in small municipalities has seen its final result modified after the Congress Board proceeded this Tuesday to annul the votes cast in the last plenary session by the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, and by the president of the PSOE, Cristina Narbona, when it was found that they issued them from seats that did not correspond to them. Specifically, the head of Justice also voted on the screen of Vice President Yolanda Díaz, who at that time was absent from the chamber.

Since the previous plenary session, deputies have a new voting system in their seats, a touch screen that makes voting easier because it saves them from pressing the present button. Of course, they are personal and non-transferable monitors, and when the votes were counted it was seen that two absent deputies had voted and that two who were in the chamber were listed as absent.

Specifically, Cristina Narbona voted from the seat of José Ramón Gómez Besteiro, the PSdeG candidate for the Xunta who had been leading the entire campaign in Galicia. For his part, Félix Bolaños used Yolanda Díaz’s screen, located two seats to the right of his.

In the images of the institutional signal of Congress you can see that Bolaños, upon realizing that he was sitting in the wrong seat, changes seats after that irregular vote.

In this way, although the plenary session of the Congress of Deputies agreed with 312 votes in favor, none against and 33 abstentions, to process the aforementioned bill, the session log will record that there were finally 310 votes in favor. Taking into account that only Vox had opposed, the processing of this legislative initiative of the Parliament continues.
