The Civil Guard has intervened a total of 118,152 units of pyrotechnic material, weighing more than 97 kilos, in a warehouse located in the Madrid municipality of Fuenlabrada that did not have the corresponding administrative authorization.
The agents carried out 15 inspections in shops where the material stored in the warehouse was for sale, which was only authorized to accumulate 5 kilos of fireworks, the Madrid Civil Guard Command reported this Friday.
In the inspection of the warehouse, the Civil Guard found thousands of articles corresponding to the F1 category of pyrotechnic material, which are units whose sale is allowed to those over 12 years of age.
They mainly seized flares, bomblets, cascades and pistons.
All the intervened merchandise remained inside the warehouse, which is sealed pending the sanctioning file instructed by the Government Delegation in the Community of Madrid.
