Cod is once again the protagonist of the Cabrils Gastronomic Route, which this year celebrates its tenth edition. Organized by the Associació d’Hostelers de Cabrils and with the support of the town council of this town, the route, which was launched at the end of November, will end on May 24.
Until then, participating restaurants will include in their menus a dish made with cod as the main ingredient. The initiative includes a solidarity component, since one euro of the proceeds from each dish that is part of the route will go to the Associació Mariona, a project that raises funds for boys and girls in Maresme who are sick with cancer.
The restaurants that are part of the Cabrils Gastronomic Route are Ca l’Estany, which has included in its offer an Icelandic cod loin with garlic mousseline, potato wrap, confit onion and cherry tomatoes, Can Rin (cod loin gratinado with hazelnut aioli, ear and chickpeas), La Concordia (cod confit with foie cream, artichoke hearts and orange reduction), L’Hostal de la Plaça (honey-coated cod with apple compote), Il Forno di papá (Cod in orange and raisin cream), L’Hort de Cambrils (cod confit with nightingales), Nou Gras (Brandada with low-temperature egg and black olive powder) and finally Sal i Brere (cod gratin with allioli).
