In Las Vanguardia Readers’ Photos we can enjoy this bucolic scene under the Sant Llorenç del Munt massif, very close to Terrassa, in Vallès Occidental.
The Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac is an extensive protected natural area. The landscape is of oak forest, white pine, oak and hazel and bare rock. In addition, it is pierced by more than 300 caves and peaks.
Neolithic and medieval archaeological remains abound among farmhouses, vineyard sheds, ice wells and fountains. And they can be seen grazing the herds, like the one in the image.
In this case, we are located at the foot of the Sant Llorenç del Munt mountain, whose main peaks are Montcau and La Mola, where the monastery of Sant Llorenç del Munt is located, at an altitude of 1,104 metres.
This area is usually frequented by hikers, climbers and speleologists.
