Bruce Woods, a fiber artist, has mastered the art of everyday fashion with his classical and casual elegance style. According to Woods, comfort is key when it comes to fashion, but that should not be an excuse for sloppiness. He believes that good presentation is vital in any field, and it starts with what you wear. Woods emphasizes the importance of accessories in achieving an optimal presentation, showcasing his own outfit that incorporated pops of yellow with his shoes and bag.

Woods creates his own clothing pieces, crocheting tops and having trousers custom-made in Italy. He draws inspiration from ethnic groups, contemporary and classical art, and nature, resulting in organic yet refined designs. His summer collection focuses on natural fibers like cotton, silk, linen, wool, and alpaca, with simple constructions that allow the fibers to shine. The color palette for his summer collection includes pastels and touches of brightness, ranging in price from $300 to $2,000 for more intricate pieces.

In addition to clothing, Woods also offers affordable bags and hats, with his hats having been featured in Yves Saint Laurent collections in the 1970s. After spending time in various fashion capitals, Woods has returned to Chicago, where he designs and sells his pieces from his atelier in Portage Park. His designs can be found on his website, Instagram, and Facebook page, and sales are by appointment.
