Barça reached an agreement with Valencia Basket to acquire the sporting rights of forward Nikola Kalinic in the Endesa League, the Catalan club announced this Saturday.
This is the first step for the Barcelona team to complete the hiring of the Balkan player, for whom they submitted an offer to the ACB last Saturday, July 2.
Valencia Basket, a club in the Kalinic played the 2020-21 season and holder of the right of first refusal over the player, had until 11:59 p.m. this Friday to match the offer from the Barça team, something that, finally, did not happen.
In the absence of confirming the agreement between club and player, the Serbian forward will become Barça’s third summer reinforcement, after the additions of point guard Tomas Satoransky and center Jan Vesely.
In the casualties chapter, the azulgrana team has confirmed the departures of center Brandon Davies, power forward Rolands Smits and forward Nigel-Hayes Davis.
