Barça basketball continues with its reconstruction. After announcing last week that it would not renew coach Sarunas Jasikevicius or shooting guard Kyle Kuric, who has signed for Zenit Saint Petersburg, this Thursday the club announced that Turkish center Sertaç Sanli is not continuing either. The Ottoman had a downward renewal offer but an agreement has not been reached and he leaves the entity after two seasons. His contract expired on June 30.
31-year-old Sanli says goodbye to the Palau Blaugrana, where he arrived from Andadolu Efes in the summer of 2021. He came as European champion but could not repeat his success with Barcelona
During these two years he has played a total of 148 games (73 in the League, 68 in the Euroleague, 4 in the Cup, 2 in the Super Cup and 1 in the Catalan League). In his last season he has averaged 7.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16 minutes of play. He also highlights his 40% success rate from the triple. He leaves Barcelona with a League, a Cup and a Catalan League.
Meanwhile, the club continues without reaching an agreement with Nikola Mirotic for his dismissal. They had until June 30 to reach an amicable agreement, so it is understood that the case could lead to a judicial process.
