The mayor of Badalona, ??Xavier García Albiol, and the businessman from Badalona, ??Enrique Tomás, have held a first meeting to promote a major international event in 2024 that will turn the city of Badalona into a point of world interest with activities that during a week fuse gastronomy, music, sport and culture.
With the aim of designing the general lines and laying the foundations of the project, which will have the Mediterranean as its central axis, the mayor and the businessman have already met in Estepona (Málaga) with the humorist, showman, actor and presenter, Carlos Latre and with the journalist and deputy director of Mundo Deportivo, Cristina Cubero. These contacts will soon be expanded with other professionals in the fields of gastronomy, culture and sport to set up the final program of the event.
Xavier García Albiol has been very hopeful with this first meeting “with which we want to take a qualitative leap and position Badalona (Barcelonès Nord) as a great world reference”. ”We would like the first edition to arrive in 2024”, adds the mayor “with an event that radiates activities that fuse culture, sport and gastronomy, elements that, separately and together, arouse and raise passions and that will allow you to enjoy to all the neighbors.”
The businessman Enrique Tomás has highlighted that: “I was born in Badalona, ??I live in Badalona and I love Badalona. I want the whole world to know the wonderful Badalona that the Romans already discovered and that has so much to contribute to the world”.
