This Wednesday, a plainclothes police officer arrested a person accused of stabbing another person, causing minor injuries, while both were waiting to testify at an oral hearing at the Santa Coloma de Gramenet court (Barcelona).

According to what has been advanced and confirmed by police sources, the agent who carried out the arrest was testifying as a witness at a hearing when he became aware of the facts. The officer in question, who was in civilian clothes, immediately proceeded to arrest the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing.

The aforementioned media reports that the agent was testifying as a witness in an adjoining room when he heard screams coming from the hallway and decided to intervene, at which point the incident was found and the alleged perpetrator of the events was identified.

Furthermore, he maintains that the attack occurred on the third floor of the courthouse, when two families waiting to testify in a trial for gender violence got into an argument.
