On a smaller scale, Anabel Pantoja has reproduced the Belén Esteban phenomenon on television: if the so-called ‘princess of the people’ came to the sets encouraged by her relationship with a very famous bullfighter, for Anabel it was her last name that opened the same door. . And like Belén, she has managed to handle herself with enough skill not only to remain a character in her own right over the course of 13 years but also to not antagonize her family. And that has a lot of merit.

Today in Madrid, Anabel presented the spring news from LOV’YC, a beauty brand whose motto is that quality cosmetics for skin and hair care can be accessible to everyone. Part of it thanks to that care and part of it because of the happiness that her relationship with the physiotherapist David Rodríguez brings her, whom she met on Isabel Pantoja’s tour of America last year, Anabel looks like never before.

Do you invest a lot of time in your grooming to appear well-groomed before the media?

When we appear on television we need a miracle because obviously our faces are not as pretty as we would like (laughs). But on a day-to-day basis, taking care of myself with Lov’yc is very simple: its shampoos and gels are wonderful and it is already part of my routine, it is not something extraordinary. Add your creams, hair products, etc., which I combine for when I have to go to TV, a premiere or a photo shoot. In addition, I like to promote and advise people who follow me about real products that I trust and consume.

You have changed a lot since we met you, 13 years ago. And for the better.

Thank you very much, thank you very much. The truth is that as I get older I look better.

You started on TV as a commentator on Survivors when your cousin Kiko Rivera competed. How do you remember your first day on set?

I was very nervous because I had never handled myself in this environment. She was coming out of being a recessionist in an office and suddenly seeing you next to an Ana Rosa, a Màxim Huerta and with Joaquín Prat talking about Survivors, it was… what the hell am I doing here? (laughs). But well, the shock of reality was good for me because little by little I was improving, I was learning from the best and in the end it is a normal thing for me.

It is a phenomenon similar to that of Belén Esteban, who started from scratch and today conducts herself on the sets as if she had studied for this.

The important thing is that you have to be worth it and the example you have given me is the best: Belén is a woman who is worth everything they throw at her and being as natural and real as she has been has worked so well for her.

And to you: today you have two million followers on Instagram, more people than Barcelona has inhabitants. Isn’t that a lot of responsibility? How do you face it?

It is, yes. I started communicating and expressing myself during the pandemic; It was when people got to know me even more. He showed everything: the day he was happy he laughed and if he was sad he cried. Or if she was angry, the same. You also have to be very careful because then you see that young people, older people, minors follow you… You have to be a little careful with what you transmit, what you advise and what you claim. It is true that it is a fairly big responsibility but I am delighted because they take great care of me, they understand me, they are attentive to me, they wish me the best and it is amazing.

You confessed a couple of days ago to having cheated when you competed in Survivors in terms of taking food. Well, I don’t know if fighting hunger can be called cheating.

I mentioned it because it happened in this edition and I don’t consider it cheating: if I’m dying of hunger and I have a fried egg next to me… I either take it now or I’m still starving for a week. These are things that happen to you in an experience like this.

I can’t imagine how hard that experience of deprivation must be.

Very hard. Imagine what it is like to eat 50 grams of rice a day for a person who eats breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc. And hygiene. Phew. I used Lov’yc products a lot. (laughs).

You marry Omar Sánchez and Yulen Pereira appears, you went on tour with your aunt and that relationship broke up, then David arrived… Being famous, your personal life takes on social importance but yours is a roller coaster.

Please don’t ask me about that part, it’s very personal and I prefer not to talk about it.

Well, just tell me one thing that you did say, that you very recently congratulated Dulceida on her future motherhood and that in an interview there that you do see David as the father of your children. So tell me, why? Why is he the definitive one and what is so special about him?

I can only tell you that I am very happy, that I am very happy in my personal life and that right now I am not complaining and that I hope all the dreams that I have in my head with David, with my mother, with my work come true.

You confirm to me that you want to be a mother then.

Ehm… These are very personal things, but okay, I have conveyed it and of course, I would like it. They tell me that he is the most beautiful thing in the world, but that sometimes he is also a bitch (laughs).
