The driver of a motorcycle, a young minor, died this Saturday afternoon after colliding with a car on the N-240 road near Tarragona, for reasons that are being investigated.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the car was slightly injured, while a minor who accompanied her suffered less serious injuries, the Servei Català de Trà nsit (SCT) has reported.
After receiving the warning at 6:30 p.m., three patrols of the Mossos d’Esquadra and three ambulances of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) were activated.
Both the driver of the vehicle and the minor who accompanied her were transferred by the emergency services to the Joan XXIII Hospital in Tarragona.
With this fatality, there are 37 people who have died in a traffic accident on Catalan roads in 2023, according to provisional data.
