An ex-boyfriend, Maná, gynecologists and hairdressers: 117 witnesses in Shakira's trial

Shakira has a pending date on November 20. The Colombian will have to face a trial for the alleged tax fraud of 14.5 million euros that she committed during the years 2012, 2013 and 2014.

The trial will have a total of 117 witnesses, whose statements will help determine the extent to which Shakira spent time in Catalonia during those years, since the singer did not pay taxes in Spain even though she should be considered a tax resident.

In order to exonerate herself, the Colombian has alleged before the investigating judge that during the three years under investigation she was a nomad. The artist traveled the world, landing in Barcelona occasionally to visit her then partner, Gerard Piqué.

Unfortunately for Shakira, the Prosecutor’s Office does not believe her version, going so far as to ask for eight years and two months in prison for her, along with a fine of 23.5 million euros. In the hypothetical case that there is no agreement between the singer and the Prosecutor’s Office, the witnesses will have to go to the Barcelona Palace of Justice.

The 117 people who dealt with Shakira for professional or personal reasons will share details about the artist’s life during those years in which the woman from Barranquilla consolidated her relationship with Gerard Piqué, the Barça defender at that time.

Among the witnesses called to testify is Antonio de la Rúa, the singer’s ex-boyfriend, since he held positions in companies that could have been used to channel millionaire income to countries with little or no taxation.

In addition to her ex-boyfriend, the group of witnesses will include employees of establishments frequented by the singer: the worker at a beauty center in Sarrià, in the upper area of ??Barcelona; the singer’s personal driver; hotel and restaurant workers; the representative of the luxury brand Dolce

Finally, witnesses linked to his musical career will also have to testify, such as choreographers, backup singers, stylists, photographers, producers, managers, senior officials at Sony Music and Live Nation, and even a member of the Mexican band Maná, who recorded a song with Shakira.
