The Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC) has confirmed that this Monday night an earthquake of magnitude 3.3 was recorded with an epicenter in the province of Huesca that was felt in various regions of Lleida, it reported in a note in ‘X’.
After the event, Civil Protection of the Generalitat activated the pre-alert of the Special Seismic Emergency Plan in Catalonia (Sismicat), deactivated around 7:45 a.m. this Tuesday after no damage was reported, reported in ‘X’. The IGCat has received some 105 tremor perception questionnaires and, at around 12:14 a.m., the emergency telephone number 112 had received three calls in Catalonia.
For its part, the Government of Aragon has assured that the epicenter was in Bordes (Lleida), which was felt in the Pyrenean region of Ribagorza, without causing any personal or material damage. According to the National Geographic Institute, the earthquake occurred at 11:06 p.m. this Monday, had a magnitude of 3.5 and a depth of 6 kilometers. There have been no calls to 112 Aragón for this reason.
