An 8-year-old girl witnessed, accompanied by her 10-year-old brother, how her mother’s partner slapped and humiliated her in the family home. The little girl decided to act in the same way: she picked up the phone, dialed the Municipal Police number and alerted them to what was happening. In a few minutes, several agents showed up there and, after taking the victim’s statement, they arrested her partner.
The events occurred last Friday night. Her mother was with her two children and her partner at her home in the Rochapea neighborhood of Pamplona. After an argument, the 27-year-old man began to behave violently.
The mother testified to the agents that the man insulted her, pulled her hair and slapped her. The little girl witnessed it with her brother, and she decided to put an end to the situation by dialing the Municipal Police phone number.
The victim explained to the agents that the man has been her partner for years, although they are in the process of separating. She also proceeded to file a complaint for a crime of abuse, something she had not done to date, spurred on by the determined behavior of her daughter.
The detainee has already been brought to justice. The wife and her children, meanwhile, were transferred to a municipal shelter, once the security protocol was activated.
