An 8-year-old boy has been seriously injured when he was run over tonight by a motorcycle in the Moncloa district of Madrid.
A spokeswoman for Madrid Emergencies has reported that the event occurred around 8:40 p.m. and that Samur Civil Protection assistance has treated the child, who suffered a severe head injury, a heart contusion and other internal injuries on impact, reports Efe .
The child has been transferred by ambulance, escorted by the Madrid Police to be able to circulate at the appropriate speed to continue being cared for, to the Gregorio Marañón Hospital, where he has been admitted in a very serious condition.
The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man, has suffered an orthopedic trauma and, after being treated, has been transferred to the Jiménez DÃaz Foundation.
The child’s parents have been attended by psychologists from Samur-Civil Protection, who have accompanied them to the Hospital.
Madrid Police make the report and investigate the cause of the accident, added the spokesperson for Emergencies.
