The first edition of the Dones RIU program closes with the insertion into the labor market of 29 people. In the initiative, which started in October 2022 and has lasted until May of this year, 80 people have participated and 37 group training sessions have been held.

Of the 29 women who have found work, 10 have done so in the industrial and logistics sector, 6 in administration, 11 in the service sector, one has been hired as an intercultural mediator and the last one has created her own psychotherapy business.

By age, most are between 35 and 45 years old. In addition, eight of them have obtained permanent contracts. The Baix Camp Regional Council is already working on the second edition of this programme, which will begin in September and will last until May 2024.

The next edition will have a subsidy of 177,200 euros and will have 80 women with the minimum objective of inserting at least 16 women. This 2023, the program has received a grant of 152,200 euros and has had the collaboration of the fourteen municipalities of the region.

The initiative is a project promoted by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan which aims to implement individualized itineraries of attention and job guidance to improve the training of women in the region .
