The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a 43-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of three crimes against road safety and a crime of resistance and road disobedience to the agents of the authority. Around eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, July 15, the agents received notice that a car was traveling in the opposite direction on the C-25, in the municipality of Rajadell (Bages) and that several witnesses had to move away for not collide with the vehicle.
The Mossos went to the scene and located the offending vehicle, which was traveling in the correct direction, but doing so erratically, zigzag. They tried to stop him, but he ignored the signs, turned off an exit and ended up stopping on a dirt road.
When the agents approached the driver, they detected that he showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. At the time of the breathalyzer test, the driver refused. Given what happened, he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, for refusing to submit to the breathalyzer test and drug detection test, for recklessly driving a motor vehicle and for a crime of resistance and disobedience to law enforcement officers.
In addition, the driver was denounced administratively for not having insurance, not having the ITV, not wearing a seat belt and not having the tires in optimal conditions for driving. The detainee has already been made available to the Manresa guard duty investigating court.
