The former vice-president of the Generalitat Valenciana and current regional representative of Compromís en Les Corts Valencianes Aitana Mas has made it public this Sunday, through the X social network, that she is suffering from cancer.
“I had been monitoring and controlling for more than four years that this moment would not come, but finally it was inevitable… The bad news is that I have cancer,” Mas points out in his message.
“The good thing,” he continues, “is that I plan to be cured, don’t panic!!”
He states that he has “two powerful, beautiful and tender reasons that make him only think about living” and does not contemplate “another alternative.”
“But that doesn’t mean that an easy path to travel will begin tomorrow,” he adds, and asks: “Wish me luck.” “Today, more than ever, HEALTH AND REPUBLIC,” concludes his letter, which has received numerous messages of support.
The deputy accompanies the message with an image of herself in which she appears wearing a pink T-shirt on which two breasts are drawn.
Aitana Mas (Crevillente, 1990) is currently deputy spokesperson of the Compromís en Les Corts parliamentary group.
In 2022, after the resignation of her party colleague Mónica Oltra, she assumed the spokesperson for the Valencian Government and the Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies.
Mas has also been a councilor in the Crevillent City Council during one term (2011-2015), as well as a local spokesperson for Compromís, and has been an autonomous deputy in Les Corts since 2019.
