Actor Adam Rich passed away this Saturday at the age of 54 at his home in Los Angeles, TMZ reported today, citing family sources. For now, his cause of death is unknown.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 12, 1968. He rose to fame as a child in the Eight Is Enough series (1977-81) -known in Spain as ‘With eight is enough’- playing the youngest member of the Bradford family, Nicholas.
Adam Rich was recognized for other roles throughout his career in films and series in the late 1970s and 1980s. Among the most prominent are Code Red (1981), Dungeons and Dragons (1983), Chips (1979-82) , Fantasy Island (1978-82) and Little Wonder (1985).
His last television appearance, before disappearing for ten years, was in an episode of Baywatch (1993). Following this ellipsis, he appeared in David Spade’s comedy Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003), playing himself. In that same year, he participated in the television series Crocodile Dundee for Reel Comedy.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Adam Rich had problems with the law and was accused of an alleged robbery in 1991. His television father in Eight is enough, actor Dick Van Patten, posted his bail.
