The driver of a car has died and two minors who were traveling with her have been injured, one critically and the other seriously, when her car collided with a truck on the C-12 near Flix (Tarragona).
As reported by the Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT), the accident occurred, for reasons that are being investigated, around 4:07 p.m. this Wednesday on the C-12, in Flix, when a car collided with a truck.
Due to the impact, the driver of the car died and two minors who were also traveling in the same vehicle were injured, one of them in critical condition and the other in serious condition.
Five patrols of the Mossos d’Esquadra, seven units of the Fire Brigade of the Generalitat and four ambulances and a medical helicopter of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) have been moved to the scene of the accident.
Regarding the effects on mobility, the road has been cut in both directions and at around 7:00 p.m. an alternative passage has been enabled.
With this fatality, there are now two deaths in a traffic accident on the interurban road network of Catalonia in 2024.
