The Vox councilor of Salou, Paul Daniel Axinte, was expelled from the plenary session of the Tarragona City Council, which he had attended as a listener, for attacking councilor Francisco Javier Gómez during the session.
Gómez was elected as a Vox councilor in the last municipal elections and left the far-right party a few weeks ago due to internal disagreements.
At the moment when Gómez left the room, he crossed paths with Axinte, who allegedly pushed him. Later, he publicly denounced it in the plenary session, he received the support of Mayor Rubén Viñuales and the rest of the municipal groups.
When Axinte re-entered the room to continue listening to the session, the mayor expelled him. Gómez has said that his former teammates intimidate him.
