At least three people were killed and 11 others injured when a passenger train collided with a freight train Friday night in northeastern Croatia, the country’s Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said.

Eight of the eleven injured are foreign citizens, and all of them have been transferred to hospitals in the cities of Slavonski, Brod, Pakrac and Nova Gradiska, according to statements broadcast by the HRT channel.

The train crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. local time between Okuńćani and Novska stations. “Three people died in the accident.
