Until the end of March is considered one of the best times to observe the northern lights from the United Kingdom. And on Sunday, a photographer was lucky enough to be able to immortalize one of them with his camera. He did it as a timelapse, a sequence of photographs taken with a time interval apart and joined together, with video software, to create a final video in which the action takes place at a higher speed.
In the images, taken from the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, you can see the top of Pen Y Fan. In them, the striking colors that could be seen from Wales on this occasion can be seen: the characteristic green, a pinkish color and an attractive violet, among other shades.
Without a doubt, a spectacular event that surprises everyone, especially those of us who are not used to being able to contemplate them regularly. In the southern part of Europe, there are rare occasions when this type of lights can be seen, which are produced when solar particles collide with the Earth’s magnetic field and atmosphere.
