A 60-year-old man, a paraglider pilot, died this Wednesday afternoon due to a fall after taking off in the Gistredo peak flight area, in Noceda del Bierzo (León).
As reported by Emergencies 112 Castilla y León, minutes after eight in the afternoon they received a call requesting assistance for the injured pilot, also indicating that he was unconscious and probably deceased.
After the call, the Ponferrada Firefighters, the Civil Guard (COS) of León and the emergency coordination center (CCU) of Health Emergencies – Sacyl were notified, which sent Primary Care health personnel from the Bembibre health center, who confirmed the death of the paragliding pilot.
This same week, a 59-year-old man was injured and had to be hospitalized after a paragliding fall in the Toledo town of Navamorcuende.
