Four injured people, two of them seriously, have been injured in a multiple accident that occurred this morning on the AP-7, in Subirats (Barcelona), in which six cars were involved and which initially forced cut this road in the south direction and has caused queues of up to 16 kilometers.

The accident occurred shortly before ten in the morning and, at first, it was necessary to cut the AP-7 southbound at this point, although about an hour later it was possible to recover a lane for traffic. which still presents many difficulties.

According to data from the Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT), six vehicles have been involved in this accident and it has been necessary to mobilize a medical helicopter to treat the four injured people, two of whom have been transferred in serious condition to the Bellvitge hospital. , while another has been referred to the Vilafranca hospital.

Up to 5 teams of Generalitat Firefighters, for their part, have had to intervene to rescue some of the injured trapped in the incident.

The SCT recommends that alternative routes be used, such as the A-2 if you are traveling towards Lleida or the C-32 if you are going to Tarragona, in addition to the N-340, to avoid this section of the AP-7.

On the AP-7 there are other conflict points for traffic and in Vandellós i l’Hospitalet de l’Infant, in the south direction, it is closed to be able to remove a truck that overturned last night, so you pass through the shoulder and traffic is diverted at exit 38 (kilometer 281).

Between l’Ametlla de Mar and El Perelló, also on the AP-7, but heading north, there are six kilometers of traffic with congestion also to remove an accident vehicle.

On the same AP-7, in this case between Martorell and Castellbisbal, there is a lane cut southbound by a broken down vehicle and just over a kilometer of congestion is recorded.

On the N-340, between Ametlla de Mar y Vandellós and Hospitalet de l’Infant, there are about 9 kilometers of traffic with congestion due to the connection with the AP-7.
