The Mossos d’Esquadra arrested a 15-year-old boy for sexually assaulting a girl under 13 in Esparreguera. The ACN agency confirmed that the Catalan police received the complaint on March 7 and the next day they arrested the alleged attacker.

The young man and the victim already knew each other and the events occurred at the young man’s home. The detainee was handed over to the juvenile prosecutor’s office and was released under supervision. He is prohibited from approaching the victim closer than 250 meters.

El Periódico advanced the news this Wednesday. The newspaper explains that the minor went to the boy’s home after assuring her mother that there would also be other friends. Both locked themselves in the defendant’s room and recorded themselves kissing. After her, taking advantage of the fact that she fell asleep due to the medication that she takes from her (it causes sleepiness and physical exhaustion), he would have raped her. The victim returned to her house and locked herself in the room.

The next day, the institute’s educational psychologist called the mother to explain that her daughter had had unprotected sex. When they went to get the morning after pill, the minor confessed that it was not a consensual sexual relationship.

The minor was transferred to the Sant Joan de Déu hospital. The protocol was activated and, after a forensic examination, the family filed a complaint with the Mossos police station in Martorell. The 15-year-old boy, who was explaining through the institute that he “had thrown it away”, is accused of two crimes; one for sexual assault and another for spreading the video with the minor in which they both appeared kissing.

According to El Periódico, the victim’s mother considers that they have not been duly cared for during this process by the social workers of the Esparreguera town hall. She also regrets a lack of accompaniment in the judicial process. The minor came face to face with the alleged attacker last Friday in the Ciutat de la Justícia, an error that caused her “an anxiety attack”.

The same information indicates that the social services of the city council consider the two families very vulnerable and explain that they have been cared for for years.
