The National Police has opened an investigation to clarify an attempted robbery at gunpoint that occurred on the night of this past Tuesday in a bus that connects the Malaga municipalities of Marbella and Estepona.

As confirmed by the police, the events took place at around 11:40 p.m. at the Parque Antena stop, on the A-7 motorway as it passes through the Cancelada area, in Estepona, when the bus stopped and the alleged robber got on the vehicle.

At that moment, the man, who was wearing a hood, pulled out a gun and threatened the driver and the occupants of the bus with the intention of robbing them, but eventually fled without achieving his purpose.

As a result of these events, the National Police Corps is conducting a search to try to find the alleged perpetrator of the events, which have resulted in no injuries. At the moment no arrests have been made, the same sources have specified.

A call from a citizen alerted the Andalusia 112 Emergency service that a man had entered the bus with a gun, so the coordination center notified the National Police.
