The caretaker, José Raúl R.E, 43 years old, from the Moscatelares Senior Residence, located in San Sebastián de Los Reyes, in Madrid, has been arrested for alleged sexual assaults on two elderly residents aged 100 and 90, according to El Mundo.

The management of the residence, which has already fired him, filed a complaint with the National Police on February 26 and communicated the facts to the families of the victims, who also filed lawsuits with the police headquarters.

The alleged aggressor was arrested on February 28 by the National Police. After a quick trial, the arrested person was released with charges and a restraining order of 200 meters from the victims and the residence. It is being investigated whether the detainee has been able to carry out similar actions in other residences, where he has previously worked.

The alleged aggressor committed the crimes while changing the elderly women’s clothes. The adult victim told other workers at the residence what happened and thus the facts were uncovered.

The Department of Family, Youth and Social Affairs of the Community of Madrid assures that it has placed the facts in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office.
