New moment lived this Monday on television! On this occasion, on the Catalan regional channel TV3 and on its late show Zona Franca, presented by Danae Boronat. No one could suspect that the presence of Andrea Falcón, a former Barça player and current Club América winger, was going to paralyze her interview on the program to surprise her girlfriend.
And it is that, Falcón’s partner, the journalist Carla Puig, works in Zona Franca, which is why at a certain moment he appeared on the set with a microphone at the ready. Of course, Puig did not imagine that she would end the program by getting engaged to her girl, giving viewers one of the most special moments in the history of this format.
Andrea Falcón, the Canarian soccer player from Arucas, who currently plays for Club América, starred late Monday night in one of the most beautiful moments of her life. It happened during the interview that Danae Boronat gave him in Zona Franca, on TV3. When Carla Puig, the athlete’s girlfriend and program worker, joined the sofa, Falcón told an anecdote that occurred during the pandemic.
“Five months after we met, they confined us and we spent 24 hours together, locked up in a 50-square-meter site,” she began by recounting. “I remember telling him: ‘From this, either we go out and we don’t see each other anymore, or from this, we go out and get married now. And my feeling, to this day, I know that I would experience a pandemic with her again, one and a thousand times more.
Then, to the surprise of Puig and everyone present, Falcón blurted out: “I only have one question left to ask you: ‘Will you marry me?'” as he took a ring out of his jacket and rolled over to the journalist. “Are you kidding?” The journalist exclaimed throwing her hands to her face.
Immediately afterwards, Falcón placed the engagement ring on Puig and they both fused in a passionate kiss while the applause of those present accompanied the emotion of the moment. “I’m hallucinating. I have my parents crying and my friends hallucinating,” said the journalist, pointing to the public stands.
“Carla, how are you? Congratulations! ”, The presenter wished her, as she did not stop smiling and applauding at this surprising and romantic television moment. “I’m assimilating it, I swear,” said Puig. After sitting down again, Falcón revealed that he was wearing the jacket to keep the ring. “Now I can take it off,” he blurted out.
Boronat wanted to know when and where they would get married. Although there is still no chosen date, what both are clear about, and they made it clear last night by responding at the same time, is that the wedding will take place in Catalonia. “Here!” the couple replied in unison.
